JakeFamily2Jake Gleason, MPT, OCS
graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2003 with his Masters in Physical Therapy. In 2005, his graduate research project was published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. In 2006, Jake earned his certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He opened FullMotion Physical Therapy in 2008 where he could continue to grow and specialize in sports and orthopedic rehab.

Rodney Hawkins, MPT, COMT. Rodney has been involved in sports, recreation and fitness his entire life and has always been fascinated with the complexity of the human anatomy and physical medicine. At Brigham Young University, he studied Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, giving him the opportunity to help college athletes as well as prevent and rehabilitate sports related injuries. Western University is where he began to learn about the importance of human touch and how manual therapy used in conjunction with therapeutic exercise can facilitate the healing of human tissue. This passion led to the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) where he had the opportunity to study under Ola Grimsby, PT, DMT, FFAAOMPT, for a year. There, Rodney earned his Certification of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT). Rodney sees physical therapy as both an art and a science where he can incorporate scientific/evidence based treatments with an individualized approach specifically designed for each patient.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, kart racing, and riding dirt bikes.



Jo Gunn, PT, DPT, OCS graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology where she played Division I Women’s Volleyball. In 2013, she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University. She then went on to complete her Post-Professional Residency through Kaiser and has recently earned her certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Jo was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and currently resides in Oceanside where she enjoys bike rides on the beach and playing volleyball in her free time.



Michelle Eastwood, PT, DPT graduated from Gonzaga University in 2013 with her bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology where she also was a member of the dance team. She continued her education at Creighton University where she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Her physical therapy interests include women’s health physical therapy, orthopedics, and vestibular rehabilitation. Michelle is a Carlsbad native and enjoys running, stand-up paddle boarding, and the outdoors.






Derek Mantey, ATC, PTA was born, raised, and currently lives in Mission Viejo. He earned is Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. Derek enjoys working out, golfing, beach related activities, and games of skill and chance.








Joshua Shrivastava, MA, PTA, ATC, CSCS, NSCA-CPT graduated from Chapman University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.  He earned his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Long Beach in 2004.  He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Joshua continues to provide personal training at FullMotion Physical Therapy.  Joshua’s philosophy is to target the body as whole, and not just spot training. Joshua enjoys weight training, playing and talking baseball, and playing with his son.
